Mentorship Program - Student Application is Now Open
Student application for mentorship program is now open!
The Student Mentorship Program is the project of US Government Exchange Program Alumni Association of Georgia which is being implemented in collaboration with the University of Georgia.
If you are a student of any field at the University of Georgia, studying on 3rd or 4th year of your Bachelor Degree with the GPA 2,5 or more, you are motivated and open to new experiences – this program is for you.
Every students participating in the program will have an individual mentor, who will be chosen base on the interests of student and mentors. Mentors will be successful specialists with many years of experience who will share their knowledge and expertise accumulated in their field, with students during one semester. The program will start in October at the beginning of the academic year. This year, program will select only 30 students.
Students participating in the program will be able to:
- Learn hands-on experience about what it means to work in a particular profession, what challenges they may face, and what day-to-day activities are in the chosen profession.
- Get tips on how to increase your chances of getting a job in the profession
- Understand which skills to develop for their career advancement
- Get information on useful extracurricular literature
- Develop and improve personal skills
- Establish and expand the circle of professional contacts
- Properly create a resume and cover letter for the interview
- Have a mentor and a „cheerleader” who will help with their development
