Mentorship Program - Semester IV
Student application for fourth term of mentorship program is now open!
The Student Mentorship Program is the project of US Government Exchange Program Alumni Association of Georgia, and in fourth term is being implemented in collaboration with Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Georgian American University and Gori State University.
- If you are a student of any field at one of the above mentioned universities studying on 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of your Bachelor Degree, with the GPA 2,5 or more, motivated and open to new experiences – this program is for you.
- Every student participating in the program will have an individual mentor, who will be chosen based on the interests of a student and a mentor. As possible, student’s choice will also be considered. Mentors will share their knowledge and expertise accumulated in their field, with students during one semester. The fourth term of the program will start before the end of April
Students participating in the program will be able to:
1. Learn hands-on experience about what it means to work in a particular profession, what challenges they may face, and what day-to-day activities are in the chosen profession.
2. Get tips on how to increase your chances of getting a job in the profession
3. Understand which skills to develop for their career advancement
4. Get information on useful extracurricular literature
5. Develop and improve personal skills
6. Establish and expand the circle of professional contacts
7. Properly create a resume and cover letter for the interview
8. Have a mentor and a „cheerleader” who will help with their development
