Mentorship Program - Announcement for term 2
Student application for second term of mentorship program is now open!
- The Student Mentorship Program is the project of US Government Exchange Program Alumni Association of Georgia, and in second term is being implemented in collaboration with the University of Georgia, Grigol Robakidze University, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Kutaisi International University.
- If you are a student of any field at one of the above mentioned universities studying on 3rd or 4th year of your Bachelor Degree, and only 2nd year students at Kutaisi International University, with the GPA 2,5 or more, you are motivated and open to new experiences – this program is for you.
- Every students participating in the program will have an individual mentor, who will be chosen based on the interests of student and mentors. As possible, student choice will also be considered. Mentors will share their knowledge and expertise accumulated in their field, with students during one semester. The second term of the program will start at the end of February.
Students participating in the program will be able to: - Learn hands-on experience about what it means to work in a particular profession, what challenges they may face, and what day-to-day activities are in the chosen profession.
- Get tips on how to increase your chances of getting a job in the profession
- Understand which skills to develop for their career advancement
- Get information on useful extracurricular literature
- Develop and improve personal skills
- Establish and expand the circle of professional contacts
- Properly create a resume and cover letter for the interview
- Have a mentor and a „cheerleader” who will help with their development
