The Program is addressed to young leaders with higher education who are interested in the development of democracy, economy and civil society in their countries and in the region.
The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program. Through short-term visits to the United States, current and emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields experience this country firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts.
The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) at the U.S. Department of State and the International Writing Program (IWP) at the University of Iowa are offering the free online/virtual course “Fake News! : Facts, Information, Disinformation, Misinformation.”
Program will bring together 40 international and 10 U.S.-based students, ages 15-18, for 2 weeks of intensive BTL summer programming hosted online by the International Writing Program and the University of Iowa. All programming is conducted in English and includes creative writing workshops, world literature seminars and more.
An internationally known annual forum at the University of Iowa, which brings together emerging literary figures from around the world for a 12-week writer-in-residency program. The IWP Fall Residency brings together globally recognized writers and up-and-coming literary creators in all genres for a multicultural exchange.
Global UGRAD will provide one-semester scholarships to approximately 250 undergraduate students representing all world regions to study at U.S. colleges and universities. The program includes pre-academic English language training, academic coursework, service-learning opportunities, professional development workshops, and cultural enrichment activities.
Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX) provides an opportunity for Georgian secondary school students in the 9th, 10th, and 11th grades to study at an American high school and to live with an American host family. The program is fully funded by the U.S. Department of State program and is administered by American Councils for International Education in Georgia.
The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program is a non-degree, post-doctoral award program for junior and senior researchers, university lecturers and experts from academic institutions in Georgia who wish to conduct post-doctoral research, lecture, or pursue combined lecturing and research in the United States. The length of the program is three to six months.
The Faculty Development Program is designed for junior faculty, currently teaching in Georgia. Applicants should intend to return to their position at their home institution upon completion of the program, continue their teaching responsibilities, and apply newly gained knowledge and experience.
Program supports study in a master’s degree program at a U.S. university in all disciplines, including business administration.
The Fulbright Scholarship is one of the most prestigious scholarships offered by the U.S. Government. The recruitment of candidates is based on an open competition held by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy Tbilisi.
